Daoulas Abbey - Pays de Landerneau Daoulas Tourisme

The Abbey heritage site

Daoulas Abbey was founded at the beginning of the 12th century by the Canons Regular of the Order of Saint Augustine, who remained there until 1790. During this period, the site was maintained, enlarged and embellished, and today's site still bears many reminders of this splendor: the Romanesque cloister, the12th-century abbey church, the porch, the fountain, the oratory... During your visit, you'll be able to discover the full history of this exceptional site thanks to the interpretation panels.

Medicinal plant gardens

What makes Daoulas Abbey so special are its magnificent gardens, which have been awarded the "Jardin Remarquable" label. Spread over 5 hectares on two terraces, they are home to no fewer than 300 species of medicinal and aromatic plants from all over the world.
