A Sunday in Daoulas

A colorful market

The Daoulas market is the place to be on Sunday mornings. Bringing together a large number of regulars, it exudes a convivial atmosphere of gourmet flavors and aromas. Over the years, it has become one of Finistère's not-to-be-missed markets, earning the town its reputation.

Come rain, shine or shine, you'll always come across people between the market stalls, and that's why we love coming back. Don't be surprised if you spend more time chatting over a crêpe than shopping!

Did you know?

Since the 15th century, Daoulas fairs have made the town famous. Until the 1980s, a livestock fair was held on the square in front of the fairground: the scales and bars used to weigh and tie up the animals are still visible. Discover the site by following the Daoulas heritage trail. The painter Eugène Boudin even immortalized the fair in the 19th century.
