the Pépites & Curiosités event: "Le Tour des Ateliers" in Landerneau
We discovered artists and craftsmen who made a lasting impression on us, communicating with passion and sometimes in spectacular ways. Three of us came, and despite our different ages (13, 36 and 76), we all got something out of it!
Les Ateliers Lafayette
Located on rue Lafayette, the artists' collective Les Ateliers Lafayette have pooled their skills to create a space dedicated to arts and crafts. It's also a place for exchange and sharing, a place to stroll, exhibit and discover. Throughout the year, they host a variety of events to showcase their expertise.
And also...
Every month, Ateliers Lafayette presents a new exhibition: painting, photography, engraving... It's always a good reason to return!
Focus on... Thomas Godin
Painter and engraver, Thomas Godin is first and foremost a self-taught artist. Using the mechanism of the press, the artist creates without concern for the type of material, color or form he employs. He places himself on the borderline between craftsman and artist. His etchings abstractly depict landscapes, suggest places and appeal to the viewer's imagination. The artist exhibits internationally, from Japan to the Philippines, via Switzerland and Italy, but remains attached to his home region, with shows in Paris, Brest and Guimiliau.
Gallery opening soon at 23 rue de la Fontaine Blanche.
