Itinerary
Step 1/6:

Start from the parking lot above the Collège de Mescoat athletics track, near the gymnasium. Cross the ring road and pass the fire station, then descend onto the route de Penguelen. You're now leaving the hustle and bustle of the town and heading out into nature. Go down to the stream and follow the path as it bends to the right, towards Gorré Beuzit.

At the stop sign, continue straight on towards Kervilliou. The Leonardo countryside gradually reveals itself, and you're now skirting a number of former livestock farms.

Kervilliou

At around 2.6km, turn towards Loc ar Bruc (an area appreciated for its "ribin" by Tro Bro Léon cyclists). Further on, you come to the northernmost part of the town. In the middle of the fields, the bell tower of the Saint-Eloi chapel comes into view. You pass Plouédern and Ploudaniel. Depending on the wind direction, the smell of crêpes will soon whet your appetite!

The route then leads you to turn left, towards the hamlets of Kerabiven. Then up towards Kervalguen. The Landerne countryside offers views of the town and, in the distance, the Cornish coast. If you're lucky, you'll come across a few hairs.

Kerabiven

Join the route de Saint-Thonan. Pedestrians should be aware of the traffic on this road. Walk along the shared gardens and past the Kergreis stadium, before turning left just in front of the cité Duguesclin towards Ty Dorguen. You'll be back in the countryside. Quickly turn right towards Traon-Beuzit, an unsuspected haven of greenery.

Traon Beuzit

You go back up and cross the ring road again. You then take the route de Bel-Air. This will take you gently (but with a slight incline) back to your starting point. Before returning to the parking lot, you pass the Mescoat gymnasium. You've just crossed more than 8km of Landerne countryside!
