Château de Roc'h Morvan

Historic sites and monuments

Why take advantage?

The Château de Roc'h Morvan is an exceptional vestige of the Middle Ages, which has lived through the tumultuous history of Brittany and preserved its traces. Since 2002, archaeological digs have been revealing a little more every year, from the stones hidden by centuries of neglect, to its life and inhabitants, from fortified castle to stone quarry, from lords to prisoners. Come and discover a thousand years of history.
In 2022: an eco-pasture has been set up to maintain the steep slopes surrounding the remains of the castle.

Please note: access to the upper part of the château and its keep is currently prohibited due to annual archaeological excavations.

In summer, the Tourist Office offers guided tours of the château on request at the Maison du Patrimoine.
All year round, the Château et Patrimoine rochois association offers guided tours for individuals and groups.
