The Festival Kann al Loar takes place in July and welcomes more than 20,000 people every year, either tourists or local people. Village en fête, port, tavern, festival of Léon, Landern'oz (Breton dances) are the animations proposed.

CULTURE

In every places of the region, unsuspected treasures reveal their splendour

LANDERNEAU, HISTORICAL TOWN: The Outdoor Museum of Landerneau... 32 signs are set on the main edifices. They will help you understand their history.

LOCAL HISTORY: The museum of Dirinon: In the chapel Saint Nonne at Dirinon, the museum displays the reconstitution of Breton furniture, a scene of baptism from the beginning of the 20th century and a collection of caps.

LE FAOU « Town of Character »: Le Faou is a compromise between land and sea. It was a relay post between Leon and Cornouaille. The geographical position of this little port of the harbour of Brest enabled the development of an exceptional heritage.

 

HORSE RIDING
NATURE

The riding-school is located at the foot of the Mounts Arée, on the border of a forest of 600 hectares. As far as the sea is concerned, it is not far away either. The school displays all the equipments for children and adults.

A cavalry (ponies and horses) adapted to outside riding for every age (from 9) and for every level. Walks of one hour or more in the forest, in the moors or along beaches, are dispensed by qualified guides.

Have a bowl of fresh air!

The domain of Ménez-Meur is located on one of the highest place of the Mounts Arrée. It offers an unforgettable sight on the 520 hectares of heaths, meadows and woods. There are several viewpoints on the surrounding landscapes (harbour of Brest, Mounts Arrée). It is an animal park which also shelters several discovery paths.

The harbour of Brest: The harbour is a heavenly place for nautical activities, gathering shellfish... It is a vast inner sea protected from the ocean by the sound of Brest. It is the ideal place for an initiation to sailing, kayak or windsurf because there is no risk of strong heave.
The landscape is at the level of this geographical exception: precipitous coasts with isolated coves, cliffs, sinuous river mouths, migratory birds, everything calls upon calm, tranquility and wellness.

The epic of the Kersanton and Logonna stone, the gems of our heritage.
The stone-and-water path guides you in this universe shaped by man and filled with histories and legends.
Linen production, maritime activities and the diversity of cultures led to an unprecedented prosperity for the Pays des Rives d'Armorique between the 14th and 18th centuries. This prosperity enabled the development of artistic creation thanks to sculptors like Roland Doré or the brothers Prigent.
For centuries, water enabled the creation of incomparable architectural marvels.
